Indy's Women: Because Behind Every Good Man Is a Better Woman
Well, most of the time.
Indiana hasn't just collected a number of artifacts over the years. He's also built up quite a black book. From the tough girl to the prissy one to the femme fatale, Indy's romanced them all.
Must be hard to be so darn sexy, huh?
Marion Ravenwood
Marion Ravenwood has a long, colorful history with Indiana Jones. When she's first introduced in Raiders of the Lost Ark, it's evident that her last meeting with Indy wasn't such a great one. Though it's never actually said, it's fairly clear that Indiana was more than likely Marion's first love.
Marion was actually the daughter of Abner Ravenwood, Indiana's mentor. Indiana began accompanying Abner on his digs and in the process became involved with Marion. This drove a wedge between Abner and Indiana and Indiana resolved to leave them both behind and return to the states.
Marion remains a fan favorite. Her spunk and humor make her one of the most well rounded characters in the Indiana canon. Marion will return to the Indiana saga in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Willie Scott
Willie Scott was pretty much the exact opposite of everything that Marion Ravenwood was. She was dainty, high-strung and at times even annoying.
Indiana met Willie at Club Obi Wan in Shanghai, China. After a nasty run-in with a group of Chinese gangsters, the two escaped, via Short Round's taxi. The trio found themselves in a remote village in India faced with the challenge of retrieving the Sankara Stone that had been stolen from the village.
As Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was a prequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark, it would seem that Indiana and Willie's relationship was a short-lived one. Ah well.
Dr. Elsa Schneider
Dr. Elsa Schneider would appear to most to be the perfect women. Smart, beautiful, successful. She's the kind of girl who's almost too good to be true (unless that girl is me, of course). And, of course, she is.
In Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Indiana discovers a bit too late that Elsa is actually a Nazi spy keen on getting to the Holy Grail that Indiana's father was actively pursuing before he went missing.
Not only does Elsa have the distinction of being the only femme fetale (thus far) within the Indiana Jones film canon, she also has the distinction of being the only female love interest to die at the end of the film.
Me - The Lesser Known Indy Girl
- Indiana Jones Is Totally My Boyfriend
That's right. I'm the other Indy girl. You don't see me in a lot of the Indiana Jones films because I'm really the quiet, shy type. OMG. Is it storming?

Say Something!Loading...
I just saw the Crystal Skull and it was amazing. It was great to see MArion with Indy again.
ha! thats totally dumb that elsa dies! he even has my name!
did that guy really say that the Crystal Skull was a good film???
The club in Indiana Jones and the Temple of doom was named Obi Wan? I didn't know that. The script writer got lazy, or it was an inside joke.
OMG Indiana Jones and the Kindom of the Crystal Skull has to be the WORST movie I have ever seen!! WORST!!! My hubby and I were in hysterics laughing at the corniness of it. Sad, because i grew up with the first three Indy movies and love them. Last Crudade being my fave.

Cute hub...and a nice "wrapping up" of the women of the previous Indiana Jones films. I was always impressed that the writers made sure that the female interest in each movie were so very different from each other. That shows me good writing, aimed at building continueing audience interest in each film installment of the Indiana Jones franchise. Happy to have found your hubs!
